As Manchester Eclipse FC prepares for its first competitive league fixture, the club is opening recruitment across leadership, first-team staff and media as it builds the foundations for long-term growth.
Manchester Eclipse FC is taking its next major step.
What began as a dream to establish a football club with ambitions of climbing the English football pyramid has become a reality. The club is now up and running, a squad is taking shape, training is underway and our first competitive league fixture is fast approaching.
With the foundations of the football team in place, our attention is now turning towards building the organisation behind it.
Manchester Eclipse FC is officially recruiting across multiple departments as we look to establish a professionally run football club from day one.
We're inviting passionate, committed and ambitious individuals to join us at the beginning of our journey and help shape the future of the club.
Building a club for the future:
Based in Newton Heath, Manchester, Manchester Eclipse FC was established with a clear ambition: to build a sustainable football club, compete to the best of our ability and progress through the leagues.
We recognise that achieving those ambitions will require more than performances on the pitch. It demands effective leadership, strong administration, quality coaching, financial responsibility, commercial development and a clear identity.
Our objective is to put those structures in place from the earliest stages of the club's development, creating an environment in which players, staff, volunteers and supporters can grow together.
We understand that progress takes time, investment and hard work. Our priority is to build the right foundations, make responsible decisions and develop the club sustainably.
As we prepare for our competitive debut, we're now looking to bring new people into the organisation who share that vision.
Board of Directors: Two positions available:
We're looking to appoint two additional board members to strengthen the club's leadership and support its long-term development.
We're particularly interested in individuals with experience working in football at board or management level.
Successful candidates should be able to contribute strategic thinking, leadership, professional expertise and a genuine commitment to helping build Manchester Eclipse FC.
These appointments will play an important role in developing the club's direction, strengthening its organisational structure and identifying opportunities for future growth.
We're looking for people who understand that building a football club requires patience, collaboration and a willingness to contribute beyond matchday.
First-Team Staff: Developing our football operation:
As our squad develops, we're also looking to expand our first-team staff.
The positions currently available are:
We're looking for committed individuals who can help improve player development, support performance and contribute to the standards we want to establish throughout the club.
Previous experience is preferred, particularly for specialist roles, but we also recognise the importance of creating opportunities for people who are at the beginning of their coaching careers.
We're open to supporting aspiring coaches as they develop their knowledge, gain practical experience and work towards relevant coaching qualifications.
We're also particularly interested in university students currently working towards a recognised physiotherapy qualification who are looking to gain relevant experience within a grassroots football environment.
Any clinical or physiotherapy-related responsibilities will need to be appropriate to each individual's qualifications, competence and supervision arrangements.
Our aim is to develop a committed, knowledgeable staff team that can support the squad throughout the season and help establish the foundations for future progression.
Media Team: Documenting the journey:
One of the defining ambitions of Manchester Eclipse FC is to document the club's development through an ambitious YouTube documentary series.
We want to take people behind the scenes and show what it really takes to build a football club from the ground up.
From training sessions and matchdays to recruitment, tactical decisions, challenges and milestones, we want to capture the reality of the journey as it unfolds.
To help bring this vision to life, we're recruiting for the following positions:
Media Team Lead:
The Media Team Lead will oversee the development of the club's media operation, coordinate contributors and lead the development of our YouTube documentary series. This person will help shape our content strategy and establish a consistent approach to telling the club's story.
Photographers:
Responsible for capturing matchday action, training sessions, club events, player portraits and other moments that help communicate the identity of Manchester Eclipse FC.
Videographers and Camera Operators:
Responsible for filming matches, training, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage for our documentary series and wider digital platforms.
Video Editors:
Responsible for turning recorded footage into engaging documentary episodes, matchday content, highlights and short-form videos for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
We're interested in hearing from people with existing experience, as well as aspiring creatives who are looking to develop their skills and build a portfolio.
You don't need to be part of an established production company to get involved. What matters is your enthusiasm, reliability, creativity and willingness to contribute to the development of the club's media operation.
Our ambition is to create content that allows people to follow Manchester Eclipse FC from its earliest competitive fixtures through the seasons ahead, building a community around the club and its journey.
Voluntary opportunities and media payments:
As a developing grassroots football club, most of the positions currently available will initially be voluntary.
We want to be transparent about this from the outset. Our immediate priority is establishing the club, building its infrastructure and creating a sustainable platform for future growth.
However, we're open to agreeing payment on a per-game basis for media team members, depending on the position, scope of work and agreed deliverables.
Specific arrangements will be discussed with applicants to establish clear expectations for both parties.
For those looking to gain experience, develop professional skills, build a portfolio or become involved in an ambitious football project, this is an opportunity to contribute from the very beginning.
As the club develops, our structures and opportunities will continue to evolve alongside our ambitions.
More than football: Building our identity:
Our ambitions extend beyond the 90 minutes on a Sunday morning.
We want Manchester Eclipse FC to establish a recognisable identity, develop meaningful connections within the local community and create opportunities for people to become involved in something they can help shape.
Our planned documentary series will be central to this vision, giving viewers an honest insight into the decisions, personalities, successes and setbacks that accompany the development of a football club.
We're not waiting until we reach the higher leagues to begin documenting our story. We're starting now, because the early stages are an important part of the journey.
By bringing together football, media, leadership and community development, we hope to create a club that people can follow, support and feel connected to as it grows.

The next chapter starts with the right people:
Manchester Eclipse FC is preparing to take its first steps in competitive league football, but this is only the beginning of a much bigger ambition.
We're building the team, developing the organisation and putting the foundations in place for the future.
We know that achieving our goals will require dedication, collaboration and the right people working together. This recruitment drive is an important step towards making that happen.
We're not just building a football team. We're building a club, a community and a story worth telling.
If you share our ambition and want to help shape what comes next, we want to hear from you.
